Thanks for your comment. It’s been so cold and damp, and it was a real pleasure to see some sign of spring happening. Didn’t get up close to the bees but they did look dark rather than striped or buff-tailed.
I’ve been consoling myself by rereading some of Donna Leon’s novels, only to be reminded that it also rains in Venice and Brunetti often has wet overcoats and damp shoes. Thank goodness we don’t have any aqua alta problems here, imagine simply having to accept that central Bristol (or central London) will be flooded every winter.
